    New Site Layout

It’s been a long, long time since Dreigiau had a new layout, so in light of all the discussions I’ve been having with folks lately, I worked on this new layout today. It’s not 100% complete yet, as I still need to go through and do a few minor things. I did want to note that in this site revision, I consolidated Book 1 and Book 2 into one larger Book 1.

Eventually, I’m going to go through and change chapter names and such as the revised version of Dreigiau has changed so much. I need to renumber and probably unname most of it. It’s simply too complicated to keep up with ornate chapter names, as neat as it was in the beginning.

Some chapters will be completely removed from the final book. Those will remain on the site as the “Deleted Scenes.” Reasons for removal vary — some because I’ve deemed that they just don’t work with the tone of the book, even with revision. Others because of the reformatting just don’t fit — such as an extra Introduction that was once part of Book 2. I don’t want to get rid of the writing completely, though, so they’ll get placed in a different category for now.

Looking through this, it also occurs to me that I need to go through and finish/revise the chapter art for chapters that don’t have art… and chapters that just don’t have very good pictures. ><

Yes, I do plan on putting a (free) membership access in place as I discussed, but it’s not active yet. I’ll be sure to let you guys know when I do that.

    The layout looks great, Wren.

As usual, you’re clever with design.

Thanks Rose! This one was a learning experience! *laughs*

Love the new design- so much prettier (and easier to navigate, I think) than the old one. I like that the background is light blue now, too. I’ve always found it easier to read things on the internet if the background is a light color instead of white (which is a little too bright for my eyes).
